Britney Spears, Kevin Federline Dismiss Bodyguard's Allegations
Pop star Britney Spears and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, have released statements about a new lawsuit that alleges she abused their sons. The singer has posted a statement on her website that reads, quote, "This lawsuit is another unfortunate situation where someone is trying to take advantage of the Spears family and make a name for himself." The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday by former bodyguard Fernando Flores. According to TMZ.com, Flores claims Spears sexually harassed him, used his belt to beat one of her sons, and fed the boys crabmeat that caused them to have an allergic reaction. The statement at BritneySpears.com says the Department of Children and Family Services conducted an investigation about his allegations and has "closed the case without any further action."
Kevin Federline, who has primary custody of his and Spears' sons, is coming to his ex-wife's defense. EOnline.com reports that his lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has released a statement on
Federline's behalf. It reads, quote, "[Kevin] is satisfied that the allegations are a product of economic motives. They are as baseless as they seem." |
