Bryan Ferry Recruits Kate Moss For "Olympia" Album Cover
Bryan Ferry is recruiting a supermodel for his next solo album. UK website metro.co.uk reports that the former Roxy Music singer will feature Kate Moss on the cover of the upcoming, "Olympia." In a nod to the fine arts, Moss is presented in a pose similar to one depicted in the 19th century painting "Olympia" by Edouard Manet. Ferry says of his cover girl, "Kate has long been the femme fatale of our age, as controversial as she is beautiful, and the most glamorous female icon since Marilyn Monroe." Ferry adds that the original Manet portrait was a forerunner to the pinups and pop art of future centuries. Bryan Ferry's "Olympia" will be available in the U.S. on Tuesday, October 26th. |
