Andy Williams Speaks Out Against Ground Zero Mosque
Singer Andy Williams is among those speaking out on plans to open a Mosque and Muslim Cultural Center in New York City near the site of the September 11th attacks. Williams -- whose voice once was dubbed a "national treasure" by President Ronald Reagan -- says the location is insensitive to those impacted by the tragedy.
Williams adds that he'll take a moment to briefly reflect on the September 11th, 2001 tragedy this Saturday during his stage production in Branson, Missouri. Last Thursday, Williams launched a variety show reminiscent of his Emmy-winning television series at his Moon River Theater in Branson. "The Andy Williams Variety Show" runs from Monday through Saturday at 7:00 p.m. local time. |
