Disturbed Once Again Debut At Number One, But Sales Not As Strong
Disturbed continue to rack up number one albums. The band's latest effort, "Asylum," is their fourth consecutive release to make a chart-topping debut, selling 179-thousand copies to take the number one spot on the latest Billboard 200 chart. However, it's also the group's worst first week sales figures. The 2008 disc "Indestructible" moved 253-thousand copies in its first seven days available, surpassing its predecessor, 2005's "Ten Thousand Fists," which had first-week sales of 239-thousand. Disturbed's sophomore album, "Believe," is responsible for the band's best first-week numbers. Following its release in September 2002, fans picked up 284-thousand copies of the album to make the CD Disturbed's first chart-topper.
