Justin Bieber Announces Additional VMA Performance
Teen pop star Justin Bieber has just come up with a new way to thank his fans. He's including an additional performance at Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards for fans that can't make it into the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Bieber said on his Twitter feed Tuesday night that he wouldn't be at the VMAs if it weren't for his fans. He writes, quote, "so i asked @mtv to let me perform outside for the fans during the show...so this sunday i am performing outside at the VMA's for u guys!! Details will be coming soon on how to get in the Audience!!!" Bieber is already slated to take the main stage inside the Nokia during the VMA ceremony. Other performers include Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, B.o.B., and Florence and the Machine. The show will be broadcast live on Sunday, September 12th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. In other Bieber news, the 16-year-old's constant presence on Twitter may be weighing down the social network's servers. Gizmodo.com reports that the singer uses three-percent of the site's resources at any given moment. Twitter employee Dustin Curtis says Bieber has "racks of servers dedicated to him" but adds that many of the site's popular users get the same treatment.
