Lewis To Guest In "Million Dollar Quartet" Tomorrow Night
Jerry Lee Lewis is capping off a promotion-filled week with a guest turn on Broadway. The 74-year-old is scheduled to make a guest appearance in the musical "Million Dollar Quartet" with its cast tomorrow night. "Million Dollar Quartet" was inspired by an historic December 1956 recording session at Sun Records Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The famed session featured Lewis and fellow greats Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins. Lewis is now the last surviving member of that original "Million Dollar Quartet." Tomorrow night's show follows the Tuesday release of Lewis' latest studio album, "Mean Old Man." The rock n' roll legend is on TV tonight to promote the album as the scheduled musical guest on NBC's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." Yesterday, he visited the ladies on ABC's "The View." While there, Lewis unveiled a new single from "Mean Old Man" called "Rockin' My Life Away." He also performed one of his all-time classics, "Great Balls Of Fire."
