Alice In Chains Excited About The Future
Alice In Chains is now four songs deep into its CD "Black Gives Way To Blue," and the band is now considering where to go from here. New vocalist William DuVall doesn't see things ending once the group finishes touring behind the album. He tells Billboard.com, quote, "It would be fairly safe to say that you don't come this far and do all this work just to stop for another 15 years. We are on a path, and just as it was at the beginning, we still don't know where it's going to lead. We're digging what we're doing and we're very happy with the reception we've gotten." DuVall says there's an excitement about the future, and while formal songwriting sessions have not begun, there have been plenty of riffs created during impromptu jam sessions on tour. Alice In Chains has been on the road this year supporting "Black Gives Way To Blue." The band will launch the "BlackDiamondSkye" tour with Deftones and Mastodon in Chicago on September 16th.
