Poison Makes The Cut For "Glee" Premiere
The season two premiere of "Glee" is getting a dose of Poison. RollingStone.com reports that the band's hit "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" will be one of the tracks featured on the show's Tuesday, September 21st debut. "Every Rose" -- originally sung by Poison frontman Bret Michaels -- will appear alongside other songs getting the "Glee" treatment. "Listen" from the film version of "Dreamgirls" will also be performed, as will "What I Did For Love" from the 1970s Broadway show, "A Chorus Line."
Poison originally released "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" in 1988. The song has resurfaced through the years. Miley Cyrus covered the track for the 2010 album "Can't Be Tamed." "American Idol" season nine finalist Casey James also sang the track with Michaels on the "Idol" finale earlier this year. |
