Driver Slams Car Into Irondequoit Church
(Irondequoit, NY) -- Police in Irondequoit say a mix-up between the gas pedal and the brake sent a driver smashing into a church. Authorities say a female parishioner in her 50's apparently hit the wrong pedal just before 12:30 yesterday afternoon outside the Saint Josephat Ukrainian Catholic Church on East Ridge Road. The car's front end was mangled but the building did not sustain serious damage. The woman was taken to Rochester General Hospital for observation. Police did not write any tickets.< |
