Rochester Man Hit With Maximum Murder Sentence In Musician Murder Case
(Rochester, NY) -- A Rochester man convicted of killing a local musician was hit with the maximum sentence for murder. Prosecutors say 20-year-old Tahsean Eaves was given 25 years to life in prison for killing and trying to rob 25-year-old Sholanda Simpson on August 23rd, 2007 outside School 29. Eaves' lawyer told the court that his client maintains his innocence and plans to appeal. Eaves was sentenced yesterday on charges of murder, manslaughter, attempted robbery and weapons possession. Simpson played bass in a local rock band. |
