Helmet Frontman Comments On Band's Ever-Changing Lineup
Page Hamilton remains the one constant with Helmet, but the vocalist feels pretty good about the band's history. He notes that while over the years the group has lost members to The Cult, Guns N' Roses, and Maroon 5, Helmet has developed a reputation for being a group of talented players.
Hamilton also notes that he's happy with Helmet's current lineup. He explains that after several years of changes, he decided to put together a group of musicians based in Los Angeles. He says, quote, "Everybody seems happy and we've had a pretty good run of four years now, so I hope to keep it together." But Hamilton admits he's not completely confident everyone will remain, adding, quote, "Somebody will probably swoop in and steal somebody from me again." Helmet -- which presently features Hamilton with guitarist Dan Beeman, bassist Dave Case, and drummer Kyle Stevenson -- just released their latest album, "Seeing Eye Dog." |
