Brother And Sister Plead Guilty In Fast Food Assault
(Penfield, NY) -- A brother and sister have both pleaded guilty to assaulting a fast food restaurant manager, causing him to lose an eye. Prosecutors say 17-year-old LaQuan Crimm and 19-year-old Shayla Fulton admitted to hitting 24-year-old Benjamin Overmeyer in the head with a golf club during a February 27th robbery at a Popeye's in Penfield. Authorities say Crimm wielded the golf club while Fulton stole one-thousand dollars. Investigators say the incident was revenge for Fulton's firing from another Popeye's in Rochester. Crimm faces 18 years behind bars while Fulton will get eleven years. Both pleaded guilty to robbery, assault and grand larceny charges.
