Zac Brown Band Taking Fans On A Labor Day Cruise
The Zac Brown Band is spending its Labor Day weekend on the high seas. The band set sail from Tampa, Florida Thursday, on their way to Grand Cayman on their inaugural "Sailing Southern Ground" cruise. A variety of artists are joining the group for the five-day trek, including Joey + Rory, Shawn Mullins, and Michael Franti and Spearhead. Onboard activities include plenty of concerts, along with a "Southern Ground Swap Meet," in which musical instruments are the only accepted currency; a bingo night; a casino night; and belly flop and cannonball contests. Zac Brown will join Chef Rusty for a "Southern Ground Cookin' Demo" and Joey + Rory will host a wine tasting event, while Zac Brown Band fiddle player Jimmy DeMartini will balance out the indulgence by leading exercise "Boot Camps."
Zac Brown Band's Clay Cook will facilitate a "Songwriters Workshop," and the full Zac Brown Band will participate in a special Q-and-A session. The excursion also includes a day of on-shore activities on Grand Cayman. The Zac Brown Band and their guests are expected back at Port of Tampa Monday morning. |
