Gates Man Guilty In Batavia Arson
(Batavia, NY) -- A Gates man has been found guilty of setting a Batavia home on fire. Thirty-year-old Andre Scott was convicted by a Genesee County jury on Tuesday of felony counts of arson, attempted murder and burglary. Jurors found that Scott poured gasoline into a stairwell of the three unit apartment complex on Elm Street and setting it ablaze on January 24th of last year. Four people managed to get out unharmed. Sentencing is set for October 28th. |
