Report: Green Day Will Record New Live Album
Green Day is reportedly recording a new album. MTV.com reports they made the announcement during their Denver, Colorado concert on Friday. This record would be the follow-up to 2005's "Bullet In A Bible," Green Day's first official live album. Green Day also treated their Denver audience to a new song. Singer Billie Joe Armstrong told the crowd, quote, "Check it out, we're going to play a brand-new song...It ain't that brand new. This song is called 'Cigarettes and Valentines.'" The track has yet to become an official release. Green Day recorded it in 2003 but shelved it after master tapes were stolen from their studio. They moved on at the time to record what soon became "American Idiot." The album was released in 2004 and later won the Best Rock Album Grammy. |
