Katy Perry Hits With Double Number Ones On Billboard Charts
"California Gurls" singer Katy Perry is celebrating two number one hits this week on the music charts. The vocalist's new album, "Teenage Dream," debuts at number one on the Billboard 200 Album chart. Her latest single of the same name is also topping the Digital Songs chart. According to Billboard.com, Perry's new album, her followup to 2008's "One Of The Boys," sold 192-thousand copies last week, giving the singer her best sales week yet. The last female solo artist to top the chart was Ke$ha in January, when her "Animal" album topped the Billboard album chart for one week. Perry's last single, "California Gurls," spent five weeks on the Digital Songs chart, according to Billboard. |
