Frey, Moore Add To Star Power At "Celebrity Fight Night"
The Eagles' Glenn Frey and legendary R&B singer Sam Moore were among the music acts to add star power to Muhammad Ali's "Celebrity Fight Night" in Phoenix over the weekend. Frey headlined an evening of entertainment that also featured Grammy-winner Moore, season seven "American Idol" alum Michael Johns, international singer Charice, and others. Also in attendance from "American Idol" at the Saturday night event were season six-winner Jordin Sparks -- who's from Arizona originally -- and "Idol" judge Randy Jackson. "Fight Night" is an annual charity event that raises money for for various nonprofit organizations, including the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Phoenix's Barrow Neurological Institute.
Other big names at the gala fundraiser this year included the evening's emcee Reba McEntire, along with "United States of Tara's" John Corbett, The Canadian Tenors, comedian Chris Tucker, record producer David Foster, race car driver Danica Patrick, and America's favorite "10," Bo Derek. Celebrity Fight Night took place at The JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday. |
