Today in 2009, Tracy Lawrence was traveling back to Nashville when his tour bus blew a tire on Interstate 80 passing through North Platt, Nebraska. The sudden flatt cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which cascaded down an embankment over the median onto two wheels, and bounced into oncoming traffic. Once the driver was able to regain control of the bus he brought it to a stop in the median. No one was injured in the incident, and the bus only received minor front-end damage.
Today in 2009, Ashton Shepherd sang the national anthem at the Food City 500 in Bristol, Tennessee. She also performed a mini-concert as part of the pre-race festivities.< |
