Ke$ha Talks "American Idol" Performance
Singer Ke$ha is following the advice of former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne. The singer tells MTV.com that the idea to wear a Native American headdress during her performance on Fox's "American Idol" Wednesday night came from Byrne himself. She says, quote, "David Byrne said, 'Everything onstage needs to be much bigger.' Maybe I wouldn't be wearing an armored bustier just on the street, but on the stage, I wanted to look like a warrior for irreverence and a dance commander." The singer performed her song, "Blah Blah Blah," with the group 3OH!3 on "American Idol." She says she hopes her performance came off as "infectious" because she was having a good time doing it. However, she also says, quote, "I was kind of making an ass of myself at the end, but whatever." |
