MGMT Discuss Failed Jay-Z Collaboration
MGMT isn't collaborating with Jay-Z after all. The duo tells "XFM" that their proposed collaboration never came to light, and they suspect they might be to blame for it falling through. They explain, quote, "Jay-Z sent us a track and he wanted us to work on it with him and we were really psyched about it. We made something, but we kinda changed it around, maybe too much, and it ended up not working out." Even though the collaboration didn't pan out, there's no hard feelings. They add, quote, "He's a good guy. We talked to him on speaker phone a couple of times. He was eating chips or something, but he was really nice." MGMT's new CD is on the way. "Congratulations" is set to arrive in stores April 13th. |
