Keane Singer Keen On Golf
Keane's Tom Chaplin is finding a new healthier addiction to take the place of his old one. The vocalist tells "The Sun" that golf has helped him overcome his battles with liquor and drugs. He says, quote, "I am actually quite obsessed with it. When Alice Cooper needed to give up booze, he said, 'What the hell am I going to do if I can't drink?' so he started playing golf and became completely obsessed with it -- and that's kind of the same as what happened to me." Chaplin adds, quote, "Alice's whole tour schedule is built around playing golf. I don't know if the same thing is going to happen for Keane, but it certainly gives me some relief." He also notes that he currently plays with an eight handicap. |
