Gates Man Pleads Guilty To Crime Spree
(Gates, NY) -- A Gates man has pleaded guilty to a two-day crime spree last October. Prosecutors say 47-year-old Michael Friedler admitted to carjacking a woman in Penfield then trying to steal another car in Henrietta on October 17th. Friedler also fessed up to stealing metal pipes on October 30th from a now vacant Rochester apartment he used to manage. Friedler was facing up to 47 years behind bars, but the judge says Friedler will spend 12 years in prison when sentenced on April first. Friedler's wife faces the same charges for allegedly helping in the crime spree. |
