Developer Of Medley Centre Told To Pay Up
(Irondequoit, NY) -- The developer of the Medley Centre mall redevelopment project has been told to pay up by local government agencies. Developer Scott Congel owes more than 320-thousand dollars to be split among the town of Irondequoit, the East Irondequoit Central School District and the County of Monroe Industrial Agency. School officials say the three agencies met last week and decided they were tired of waiting for the payment, which was due in January. If Congel does not fork over the cash, he could have his payments-in-lieu-of-taxes agreement cancelled. The 260-million dollar mall project is slated to include a revamped shopping area, housing, hotels, and a movie theater. |
