Jury Awards Three Victims In Bus Crash
(Geneseo, NY) -- Three victims injured in a fatal 2005 bus accident in Geneseo have won more than two-million dollars in a civil suit. A jury in Livingston County decided that one victim should receive one million dollars, a second 750-thousand and the third victim receives 500-thousand dollars. Authorities say on January 29th, 2005, the bus was carrying members of a women's hockey team from Ontario, Canada along I-390 in Geneseo. Investigators say the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel, crashing into a tractor-trailer on the shoulder. Four people were killed in the wreck. Additional civil suits are pending. |
