Beck Rounds Up Next Guests
Velvet Underground, Leonard Cohen, and Skip Spence are among the acts covered as part of Beck's "Record Club" experiment, and the musician is ready to call upon a new group of musical friends to help him cover his next subject. Though the muse for the next recording has not been revealed as of yet, St. Vincent vocalist Annie Clark let slip that she recently teamed up with Beck, Liars, and Os Mutantes for the next "Record Club" project. She tweeted, quote, "It will be online soonish. Serious fun." As with past "Record Club" releases, the musicians are expected to team up for an impromptu recording of a single musician's full album over the course of a single day. Some of the past participants include MGMT, Wilco, Wolfmother's Andrew Stockdale, Devendra Banhart, Feist, Nigel Godrich, Jamie Lidell, and Beck's brother-in-law Giovanni Ribisi. |
