Gretchen Wilson Sings National Anthem For PBR Event
Gretchen Wilson is taking in some professional bull riding as she continues her club tour. The singer turned in a rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" at the PBR event in Kansas City, Missouri last Saturday night. Wilson is on the road in support of her upcoming release "I Got Your Country Right Here." The album, which features her single "Work Hard, Play Harder," is due in stores March 30th. It's Wilson's first project for her own Redneck Records label. She has been spending the last several weeks on the road, performing in clubs and other small venues in an effort to relaunch her career and generate interest in her new CD. Wilson's next show will be at Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill in Mesa, Arizona on Tuesday.
Saturday's PBR event was also the second time in recent weeks Wilson has sang our country's anthem at a sporting event. Back in February the country star performed the patriotic song at the NBA All-Star game in Dallas. |
