Popeye's Chicken Employee Loses Eye After Robbery
(Penfield, NY) -- The worker injured during a robbery of the Popeye's Chicken in Penfield has lost his eye. Police say 24-year-old Benjamin Overmyer was hit on the head with a crowbar and beaten as two suspects robbed the fast food restaurant. Overmyer has been released from Strong Memorial Hospital, but still has broken bones in his face. Police say the suspects entered the store at about 11 PM Saturday night through a back door, which was propped open by employees taking out the garbage. No arrests have been made. |
