Two Rochester Officers Injured In Fight
(Rochester, NY) -- A Rochester man has been charged with injuring two police officers during a fight. Authorities say the officers were attempting to restrain the 25-year-old suspect after responding to a mental hygiene call Wednesday morning at a group home on South Avenue. Police say the suspect was big enough to slam one officer to the ground, knocking him unconscious. The other officer sustained a leg injury. The suspect, whose name was not released, faces two counts of second-degree assault. Authorities say the suspect was eventually subdued with a Taser gun. Police say the officers are recovering. |
