Paterson Charged With Ethics Violations for Accepting Free Yankee Tickets
(New York, NY) -- The problems for Governor David Paterson keep on coming. The New York State Public Integrity Commission in Albany has charged Paterson with state ethics code violations for accepting free tickets to Game 1 of the 2009 World Series at Yankee Stadium. The violations come with at least 80-thousand dollars in fines. The Commission says Paterson made matters worse by appearing before them and "lying under oath" by claiming he had intended to pay for the tickets. The case heads to the Albany County DA's office and state Attorney General for investigation of possible criminal charges. |
