Justin Timberlake Picks Up Harvard Hasty Pudding Honor
Justin Timberlake is the proud new owner of a small, golden Hasty Pudding Pot. Timberlake accepted his Harvard Hasty Pudding Man of the Year award Friday, wearing a woman's curly blonde wig and pink pumps, as drag is the custom at the annual award ceremony. He also donned a very special accessory -- a bra made out of two gift boxes on the outside of his suit. The singer was on hand to collect the award at the Harvard campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts where he was also roasted by Hasty Pudding Theatricals. According to the "Boston Globe," the Hasty folks got in a few digs, saying of Timberlake, quote, "He can sing, he can dance, and he goes straight to DVD." Timberlake showed a good sense of humor by agreeing with his roasters about how, quote, "sexy had gone missing."
He skewered right back, with, quote, "I'd like to point out that Harvard did not let us film here." Timberlake was referring to his upcoming Facebook-themed film, "The Social Network," that is based in Boston. Harvard wouldn't allow on-campus filming despite the fact that the story is based on the school itself. The star attended his award ceremony along with mother Lynn Harless, stepfather Paul, and actress girlfriend Jessica Biel. |
