Buffalo Attorney Considers Run For Governor
(Buffalo, NY) -- An attorney in Buffalo is pondering a third-party run for governor. Sixty-three year-old Carl Paladino says he is so fed up with Albany that he is considering taking a crack at the state's highest office. The registered Republican says he is curious to see if there is enough "tea party" support to sustain a third party candidacy rather than challenging Republican Rick Lazio in a primary. The tea party activists comprise of an anti-tax movement which Paladino says has gained a ground swell of support. The attorney says he wants to head to Albany as an Independent to shake things up. In recent years, Paladino has become a vocal critic of Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown and the Board of Education but has never run for elected office before.<
