Former Monroe County Assistant DA Charged On Tax Evasion
(Rochester, NY) -- A former Monroe County assistant district attorney is on the wrong side of the law. Authorities have charged 61-year-old Harvey Bunis with four felony counts for allegedly not paying income tax between 2002 and 2007. Investigators say Bunis earned 350-thousand dollars while working for the county and running a private law firm from 2002 to 2008. He resigned from the county in June last year. Bunis could face four years behind bars if convicted. |
