Rochester Man Dies In Ice Fishing Accident
(Sodus, NY) -- A Rochester man is dead after an ice fishing accident in Wayne County. Police in Sodus say 58-year-old Gary Caruana apparently walked out onto some ice to fish when he fell through. Investigators say a neighbor heard shouting just after 7:30 a.m. yesterday morning. Responding officers saw the fishing gear on a sled out on the ice and discovered the hole. The Fire Department pulled Caruana out of the water. He was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead. |
