Barry Manilow Gears Up For "A Capitol Fourth"
Barry Manilow will be among those taking the spotlight when the United States celebrates 233 years of independence this Saturday. He's on board for the 29th annual PBS broadcast of "A Capitol Fourth," which will air live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Manilow says he was more than eager to take part in such a star-studded event, but jokes that he has an unenviable position in the lineup.
Manilow says he's prepared a new track titled "Let Freedom Ring" that he'll be introducing at the show, while fans can also expect to hear some of his all-time classics. Along with Manilow and Aretha Franklin, other performers include the Grammy-winning cast of "Jersey Boys," Natasha Bedingfield, Michael Feinstein, and classical pianist Andrew von Oeyen. "A Capitol Fourth" will air live on PBS Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. |
