Mae's (A)fternoon Follows (M)orning Build
Mae continues to tie their music to charitable efforts. The band has announced the release of its "(A)fternoon" EP, which follows the "(M)orning" collection. The first set helped raise funds for Habitat For Humanity's efforts in Newport News, Virginia and local resident Rhonda Floyd now has a home as a result. Drummer Jacob Marshall says, quote, "We're proudly able to announce that with only our music and your donations - and without the help of any record label or large corporations behind us - we have fully funded a house for Rhonda Floyd and her three children. There are no words to express the depth of our gratitude and appreciation." The group continues to release a new song each month in return for donations and they are collecting the tracks into the series of EPs, which will culminate with the "(E)vening" EP later this year. Mae have raised 46,000 dollar since January. Visit www.whatismae.com to purchase "The Cure" and "Over & Over," the first tracks from the "(A)fternoon" EP.
