Vampire's West Coast Weekend
Vampire Weekend continues to work on new music and even though they are located in Brooklyn at the moment, they state that their upcoming disc does not feel like their current environment. Guitarist Rostam Batmanglij tells "Rolling Stone," quote, "These songs would be perfect for driving up the Pacific coast...Maybe when we're done, I'll have the time to actually listen to the record on the Pacific coast." Singer Ezra Koenig says it's like, quote, "making an egg-white omelet. Basically, doing fresh things." Bassist Chris Baio says the main difference with the new album is that the band was able to give up their jobs and completely focus on the disc. The still-untitled album is expected this fall. |
