Beck Makes DJ Plans
Beck is pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from artist websites. After recently launching the "Record Club" feature in which he and friends attempt to re-record their favorite albums in a single day and then post music, Beck has introduced another attraction for the site. The vocalist is launching a section he calls "Planned Obsolescence," which is essentially a DJ set. The singer says, quote, "These are mixes of what we're listening to, put together by myself or guest DJs. Please enjoy." Beck intends to have a new set up each week. The first posting, titled "Number One Autobahn Hologram," clocks in at just over 38 minutes and concludes with a fuzzed out version of Michael Jackson's "Working Day And Night." Visit Beck.com for future DJ sets. |
