The Flaming Lips Welcome Guests On Upcoming Album
The Flaming Lips are revealing more details about their upcoming double disc, "Embryonic," including the names of some special guests. Singer Wayne Coyne tells Swiss website "Die Klangschau," quote, "We have MGMT doing a song with us and we have Karen O. from The Yeah Yeah Yeahs doing a couple of songs with us. For the Karen O. tracks, I just called her up in her hotel room and we just did it right over the telephone. It's pretty absurd." Coyne also revealed that the band employed this, quote, "weird mathematician guy from Germany" to do a spoken word contribution on the album as well. The Flaming Lips' "Embryonic" is due in stores in September. |
