Limp Bizkit Bows Out Of UFC 100
Limp Bizkit's only scheduled performance in the U.S. will not go on as planned. The recently-reunited rockers were scheduled to perform at Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay July 10th as part of the UFC 100 festivities. The group issued a statement saying that they did not cancel their appearance, but rather the inability between UFC and their label Interscope Records to come to an agreement on certain DVD rights led to the downfall of their performance. They add, quote, "Limp Bizkit would like to confirm we are huge UFC fans and will always be, but feel it is unfair for UFC to falsely confirm and advertise that Limp Bizkit will be performing to only change their minds after many people have rearranged their lives and bought tickets to be in Vegas for this special concert."
However, the band does state that out of respect for the fans, they will perform on the same night and details will be announced shortly. They conclude by stating, quote, "All respect to the UFC for inviting us in the first place. We will continue to support the UFC because it is our favorite MMA event." |
